I'm Heather, one of the founders and lead practitioners. My journey in psychology began with a deeply personal experience of growing up in a household affected by domestic violence during my childhood. This experience profoundly shaped my attachment style, leading me to become a fearful avoidant. It was through healing my own attachment wounds that my true passion for attachment theory emerged. During my four years of university study in psychology, I delved into developmental, forensic, and cognitive psychology, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the human mind and behavior. My professional experience extends to working with individuals facing a range of challenges. From survivors of domestic violence to those grappling with severe trauma, including PTSD, I've had the privilege of walking alongside clients on their paths to healing and resilience. Additionally, I specialise in working with individuals with personality disorders, providing tailored support and strategies to foster growth and well-being. My own journey includes navigating ADHD, which has given me a deep interest in how ADHD affects relationships. This personal insight allows me to provide empathetic and effective support to individuals and couples facing similar challenges. During my four years of university study in psychology, I dedicated significant time and research to understanding ADHD and its impact on various aspects of life, including relationships. My coursework delved into the neurobiological underpinnings of ADHD, its behavioral manifestations, and the associated challenges individuals face. I gained insight into the nuances of ADHD diagnosis, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms effectively. This academic journey deepened my understanding and empathy for individuals navigating ADHD, fueling my passion for supporting them in achieving their full potential within relationships and beyond. With qualifications in attachment theory, narcissism, domestic abuse and, life coaching, I have extensive knowledge in anxiety management. I blend psychological insights with practical strategies to empower individuals to navigate life's complexities.
